This policy explains what personal information I collect when you use my website or get in touch, how I use it, and the rights you have over it. I've tried to keep it in plain English.

Who I am

This website is run by Jamie Vuong, trading as Jamie Vuong Fitness, a personal trainer based at PureGym London Bermondsey, The Biscuit Factory, 100 Drummond Road, London SE16 4DG. For anything to do with your data, you can reach me at jamie@jamievuong.co.uk. I am the "data controller" for the information described below.

The information I collect

Information you give me. When you fill in the contact form, or message me by WhatsApp, text or email, I collect your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number (if you give it), your goals, and anything else you tell me.

Information collected automatically. My site is built on Squarespace, which uses cookies to keep it working and give me anonymous statistics. I also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to help me see how visitors use the site. This data is aggregated and doesn't identify you. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them via the cookie banner.

How I use your information, and why

I use it to reply to your enquiry, arrange your free Kickstart Session, and keep in touch about your sessions if you become a client. My lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and my legitimate interest in managing enquiries.

Marketing. I'll only send marketing emails if you've opted in. You can unsubscribe any time and I'll stop straight away.

Who I share it with

I never sell your information. I share it only with the services that help me run the business — Squarespace (hosting and the contact form), Google Analytics (anonymous statistics), and my email and messaging providers — who act as my data processors.

How long I keep it

  • If you enquire but we don't work together, I keep your enquiry for up to 24 months, then delete it.

  • If you become a client, I keep relevant records for the time we work together and up to 6 years afterwards, in line with normal business and tax record-keeping.

You can ask me to delete your information sooner at any time.

Cookies

This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, plus analytics cookies (including Google Analytics). When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline the non-essential ones. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how it's used, withdraw marketing consent, or have it transferred. Just email me at jamie@jamievuong.co.uk and I'll sort it out.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
